Safety Program All of us
at Horne Construction take Safety very seriously. It is not just a "Buzz-Word"
but also something that we practice every day.
All of our Supervisors
and the majority of our employees have received extensive Safety Training.
Several of our key people have graduated from OSHA competent- person training
programs.
Our Field Superintendents routinely conduct "Toolbox Talks" at
each project site. These "Toolbox Talks" stress Safety on the jobsite and alert
all of our employees as well as the employees of Subcontractors to any
potential risks that are particular to a given project. Our General
Superintendent visits all of our construction sites on a regular basis and is
well versed in construction Safety requirements.
In addition to the
activities of our General Superintendent and our Field Superintendents we
employ the firm of Contractor's Risk Management to routinely inspect all of our
Project sites. This independent firm conducts inspections and offers training
to keep us abreast of any new, changed and/or unique safety
requirements.
Our Project Managers and Superintendents are trained to
react quickly and have the authority to insist that Subcontractors and
Suppliers maintain a Safe Workplace.
In 1995 we received the State of New
Hampshire's Governor's Safety Award for a perfect safety record. Subsequently
we have won several Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Safety Awards for
our impressive safety record.
At Horne Construction we construct safe
projects and we demonstrate to our construction industry peers how Safety
should be implemented on a construction project!
