Horne Construction has a repeat client who owns several shopping centers throughout the United States. This time our task was to convert what had been a “distressed merchandise” retailer to fresh space for a new Retail Tenant.
One of the challenges Horne Construction faced was a very aggressive schedule. Notice to proceed was given in mid August 2001 with this extensive 25,000 sf renovation having to be substantially complete by the end of October. Horne successfully completed their scope of work, as well as coordinated with the various vendors for the retail tenant to achieve occupancy on schedule.
One of the unforeseen conditions that was an encountered was an extremely poor existing concrete slab. Horne was able to deal with this issue and provided the Tenant with a finished product that met all expectations without affecting the schedule. |
