When the Rochester City Manager
learned that there was a structural problem with the roof supports for the City
Hall he called on the expertise of Horne Construction to act quickly to keep
City hall open to the public.
Horne's crews worked around the clock to
install temporary support structures and scaffolding that extended from the
second floor on up above the roof of City hall and into the "Fly Space" of the
Opera House. Once the old structure was secured and braced, the crews went to
work to install new laminated wood beams and columns to take up the roof
loads.
The complicated and dangerous work was completed in record time,
on budget, safely and without interruption to the day to day operations of City
Hall. |
