Horne Construction served as the Design/Builder for this 17,000 square foot, $1 million facility upgrade for the University System of New Hampshire.
The two-story addition houses a state of the art operational space for three, highly technical, operations. On the first level, The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Headquarters shares space with the University’s Underwater Oceanic & Topographic Mapping group. The Interoperability Laboratory for Wireless & Computer Telecommunications occupies the upper level.
Special seismographic monitoring equipment was used during construction to monitor vibrations to protect the Universities Wave Tank and their Deep Water Pool housed in the existing building.
