Cramer Fabrics is a manufacturer of
industrial and commercial grade woven fabrics located in Dover, NH. Serving as
the Construction Manager, Horne Construction Company removed and replaced over
30,000 square feet of existing roof as well as all of the associated wall
panels, renovated 3,000 and added 1,000 square feet of office space, added
30,000 square feet of new manufacturing space complete with 2 five-ton cranes;
all while keeping the manufacturing facility in full operation.
The
design of the project was unique as the manufacturing process dictated that the
inside of the plant had to maintain 65% Relative Humidity at 72° Fahrenheit
without any condensation. Horne's solution was essentially to build a cold
storage building in reverse. We created a 60,000 square foot sauna in New
Hampshire that would not allow water to condensate on the ceiling and
walls. |
