Horne Construction is pleased to have been the
vendor of choice for Frisbie Hospitals ongoing renovation
projects. Horne had previously been the construction manager
for major additions at Frisbie, and our ability to work efficiently
without disrupting continuing patient care at the hospital
was regarded as critical.
Renovation
Projects Included
1. Converting
the existing Intensive Care Unit into a new Pediatric area
with patient rooms, state of the art monitoring and communications
systems, nursing control center and staff space--all a month
ahead of schedule and $50,000 under budget;
2. A total
renovation of the Hospitals Telemetry Unit including a new
nurses' station, labs, and patient rooms while the unit was
in operation and occupied. This required daily coordination
with hospital staff.
3. The conversion
of an existing shipping and receiving area into an advanced
Cardiovascular Radiology Lab. The project incorporated highly
sophisticated electronics, filtered air handling systems,
and temperature controls and required a high level of coordination
among the owner, the architect and the electronics equipment
supplier. |
