Ralph A. Blackington, Jr. - President Ralph A. Blackington, Jr. - President
As President and founder of Horne Construction Company, Inc., Ralph Blackington oversees the overall operation of the company as well as developing and implementing long-range plans and goals to ensure continued growth and stability within the company.

Ralph brings over thirty years of hands on construction experience to Horne Construction. Prior to starting Horne Construction in 1992, Ralph was a Project Supervisor for Harvey Construction for many years.

Ralph lives in Berwick, Maine with his wife Judy and their two children, Cylas and Molly. In addition to his family, Ralph enjoys his grandchildren, car racing, boating and gardening.

Larry Masse - Estimator Larry Masse – General Manager
As the General Manager, Larry is responsible for all of the day to day operations of the company. He coordinates all field activities, is responsible for the estimating and accounting departments as well as future business development. His experience provides value engineering benefits and his conceptual abilities help guide projects from initial planning all the way through final walk-thru for Horne's widely diverse group of clients.

Larry has many years of experience in the construction industry combined with extensive estimating knowledge and organizational skills.

Larry served as Deputy Chief on the Dover Fire Department for many years prior to joining Home Construction in 1999. Larry and his wife Gail, who are life long residents of New Hampshire, live in Barrington.

Karen Huard - Controller Karen Huard - Controller
As the Corporate Controller, Karen is responsible for all the day to day accounting activities, project costing, financial forecasting and maintaining banking, insurance and bonding relationships.

Under Karen’s direction Horne Construction is able to accurately track and forecast project costs in great detail and in almost any format that a customer could possibly require. Karen works closely with Project Managers to continuously monitor and update management of any issues.

Karen received her Business degree from Casco Bay College. She has many years experience with the financial aspects of construction operations having worked as an Assistant Controller prior to joining the Horne team.

Karen lives in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with her husband, Al and her daughter, Whitney. Karen enjoys cycling, camping, and spending time with her family. Each year Karen rides 185 miles in the Trek Across Maine to raise money for the American Lung Association and also the 100K Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association.

Mark E. Geuther - Project Manager Mark E. Geuther - Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Mark is responsible for acting on behalf of the Owner's interests, issuing all major Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, overseeing and monitoring Project budgets, creating and monitoring of Progress Schedules, value engineering as well as coordinating and conducting Project Meetings.

Mark received a BS degree in Wood Products Engineering from S.U.N.Y. in Syracuse N. Y. and an Associates degree in Construction Technology from Tompkins Community College in Dryden, N.Y. Before joining Horne Construction Mark was the Retail Operations Manager for Purina Mills, Inc.

Mark lives in Dover New Hampshire with his wife Kris and their two children Jennifer and Stephen. Mark serves on the Dover Business and Industry Development Authority Board of Directors as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Dover Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys bike riding and playing basketball.

Steve Dionne - Project Manager Steve Dionne - Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Steve is responsible for acting on behalf of the Owner's interests, issuing all major Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, overseeing and monitoring Project budgets, creating and monitoring of Progress Schedules, value engineering as well as coordinating and conducting Project Meetings.

Steve holds a state of Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License and has completed the Associated Builder and Contractor Construction Supervision Program. He has a diverse and extensive portfolio of project experience, including medical office, manufacturing, and retail structures.

Steve and his wife Nancy live in Goffstown with their three children Sydney, Evan, and Benjamin and their dog, Hector. Steve is active in Boy Scouts and loves biking and motorcycling.

Kevin Coons - Project Manager Kevin Coons - Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Kevin is responsible for acting on behalf of the Owner's interests, issuing all major Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, overseeing and monitoring Project budgets, creating and monitoring of Progress Schedules, value engineering as well as coordinating and conducting Project Meetings.

Kevin served in the US Navy before concentrating his energy on the construction industry. He has successfully completed numerous Architectural Engineering courses and has managed many commercial construction projects throughout the New Hampshire, including municipal, school, medical and private construction projects.

Kevin and his wife Chris live in Gilford with their two children Cassie and Keegan. Kevin serves on the Board of Directors in the Gilford Rotary Club and enjoys downhill skiing, competitive sailing, hunting and fishing with his family, as well as summer weekends boating on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Rusty Blackington- Estimater Rusty Blackington - Estimator
As the Estimator for Horne, Rusty is responsible for quantifying hard-bid proposals, value engineering projects to benefit our customers' projects, provide conceptual guidance to developing projects and delivering final take-off/estimates for Horne's widely diverse group of clients.

Rusty has years of experience in the construction industry combined with extensive estimating knowledge and organizational skills. Rusty is responsible for the day to day preparation of all estimates and proposals as well as future business development.

Rusty worked as a Manager at the Samoset Resort in Rockland Maine for many years prior to joining Home Construction. Rusty, his wife Melissa, son Dylan, daughter Julia and dog Mandy live in Lyman, Maine. Rusty coaches his sons baseball team and enjoys boating and fishing.

Wendy Lavery- Admiistrative Assistant Wendy Lavery – Administrative Assistant
Wendy is the voice of Horne Construction; she cheerfully answers our phone calls. She provides support services to the management staff that range from sorting the mail to preparing promotional and bid packages. She does all of those little things that help keep us running smoothly.

Wendy is a Florida native and is looking forward to enjoying the four New England seasons. She has a degree in Business Administration & Management and has many years of experience in office administration. Prior to joining Horne Construction, she worked as the Executive Assistant for a large precast concrete company in Florida.

Wendy lives in Somersworth with her husband, Darren; son, Ian; and faithful pooch, JJ. Ian’s twin, Jeremy is enlisted in the Navy and stationed in Hawaii. The youngest brother, Dane, stayed in Florida. Wendy enjoys camping, watching most sports, and has a passion for remodeling and renovating.

Michael Emerson - Project Superintendent Michael Emerson – Project Superintendent
As a project Superintendent, Mike is responsible for managing the day to day operations of a construction project. He is responsible for scheduling supplies and subcontractors, project safety, on-site document management and general project coordination. Mike conducts regular project meetings with the design team, the owner as well as subcontractors.

Mike earned his AS degree from Andover College and has taken numerous courses such as Project Planning & Scheduling, Structural Principles, Contractor Relations, Cost Control, and Construction Site Safety. Mike also has a keen eye for quality stemming from his considerable experience with high end millwork. In addition to his project supervisory abilities he is an expert construction estimator.

Mike lives in Cape Neddick, Maine with his wife, Cindy and their children Noah, Grace, Annie, and Gus. Mike enjoys hiking and teaches skiing in the winter.

Harry Mau - Project Superintendent Harry Mau –Project Superintendent
As a project Superintendent, Harry is responsible for managing the day to day operations of a construction project. He is responsible for scheduling supplies and subcontractors, project safety, on-site document management and general project coordination. Harry conducts regular project meetings with the design team, the owner as well as subcontractors.

Harry is a well seasoned superintendent and has worked in the industry for approximately 30 years. He has worked in various areas of construction such as carpentry, concrete form work, and high rise construction, working his way up to supervising. He is great at supervising work in occupied areas.

Harry lives in Dover with his wife, Michelle, and children, Alyssa, Jessie, and Kyle. His older son, Chris lives in Manchester. He and his family enjoy and are very involved in sports all year round. Harry’s great passion is music, particularly playing the guitar (at which he formerly played professionally). Not only is this his passion, but he has passed the interest on to his children.

Donald Provost - Project Superintendent Donald Provost – Project Superintendent
As a project Superintendent, Don is responsible for managing the day to day operations of a construction project. He is responsible for scheduling supplies and subcontractors, project safety, on-site document management and general project coordination. Don conducts regular project meetings with the design team, the owner as well as subcontractors.

Don received a BS degree in Business Management from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH and an Associates degree in Applied Science Criminal Justice from McIntosh College in Dover. Before joining Horne Construction, Don has 30 years of construction experience as well as being the owner of Provost Construction and Millwork Company.

Don lives in Berwick, Maine with his wife Tami and their two children, Emily and Nicholas. Don served as a member of the Planning & Development Committee for the Tri-City Christian Academy of Somersworth. He enjoys participating in Martial Arts as well as other sports and activities.

Kathleen Gagnon – Accounts Payable Kathleen Gagnon – Accounts Payable
Kathleen pays the bills; she meticulously matches the mountains of invoices to purchase orders and subcontracts to make sure we pay our partners accurately and on time. She makes sure that we receive lien waivers and that our subcontractor’s insurances are up to snuff.

Kathleen brings to Horne almost 20 years of accounting experience, mainly in the accounting departments of high volume car dealerships.  For a short period of time, she also expanded her experience to sales, where she earned awards for top in sales at the local level as well as special recognition at the regional level ~ she’s quite the go-getter.  She also has worked in Accounts Receivable as well as in Purchasing for a global Metric Fastener company dealing with overseas vendors; with all the red tape that passing through customs can bring.

Kathleen, her husband, Steven, son, Scott and two dogs, Toby and Ember live in Farmington.   When the good weather hits, it is hard to keep her inside as she is either enjoying her Mustang convertible or on Lake Winnipesaukee on her 26ft bow rider with all her friends.  Kathleen enjoys helping people and while no longer an EMT, she finds time to volunteer as a member of the Farmington Fire Department as their photographer.
